The Department aims for global recognition in teaching, research and community services and raising the standard of Chemical Engineering education in the latest art of the technology, constantly improving the quality and skills at undergraduate and post graduate levels, emphasizing on novel research and development that leads to a socioeconomically feasible technology.

The Department is offering undergraduate course (B.Tech in Chemical engineering) and one post-graduate course (M.Tech in Energy and Environment). The students graduated from the Department are successfully and continuously working as Engineers / Scientists, Consultants and Academicians in various organizations and also pursuing higher studies in premier institutions in India and abroad. The Department has well qualified and committed faculties with Ph. D. degree. There are 13 regular and 3 temporary faculty members in the Department. All the faculties are pursuing research in cutting edge areas. Faculty members of our Department successfully completed 15 research projects sponsored by various funding agencies (valuing more than 2 crore). The Department has organized International Conferences, short-term courses and expert lecture from industries and academia. Ph.D programme with the financial assistance of MHRD is also available in the Department. Currently, more than 25 Ph.D. research scholars are conducting their research in various streams of Chemical Engineering. The Department has been successfully carrying out testing and consultancy projects for over four decades and now expects to play a major role in the development of chemical industries.
